Yesterday I instagramed a snapshot of the new lease space I’m renting until I find my dream home. It’s a loft in downtown and I love how it’s coming along so far. I’ll be posting the full reveal soon, so stay tuned!!
Although I’ve moved on from my last house and excited about all of the new beginnings 2016 is bringing, today I’m throwing it back a bit. Last summer I had the pleasure of attending and speaking at the Haven conference in Atlanta, Georgia. It was so much fun and I was finally able to meet so many of my blogger friends I had only previously met online.
Another amazing group I was able to meet was the team from La-Z-Boy. They had asked me to attend their group dinner on Saturday night and needless to say, I HAD A BLAST. Not only was the team SO much fun to hang out with, but I was actually able to learn so much more about the brand than I ever knew before.
Typically most people think of La-Z-Boy as JUST a recliner furniture store. I know I used to think that way. They were the first company I thought of when my parents requested recliners when I designed their home back in 2013. Sure, they produce beautiful recliners (and yes, I ended up using them during my parents remodel and had an excellent experience might I add) but they also surprisingly carry so many different lines of furniture online that I never knew about.
My ultimate favorite piece of theirs has to be the Moscato Stationary Chair in the “almond” fabric (color C106934 for reference). For the nailhead trim, I chose the standard brass finish and couldn’t be happier with my choice. The look came together so perfectly and the ordering process from beginning to delivery was exceptional. I placed the chair in my mini office (adjacent to my old den) and although the scale isn’t perfect, I still ended up loving the look!
For now my stunning new chair sits in an air-conditioned storage unit waiting for its forever home. Waiting to reunite with me and waiting to be styled, arranged and loved once again!
