Dear Amy,
I love your wonderful style of decorating! It is wonderful how your basics are neutral and you add exciting, vibrant colors in accessories. I love that you are using your old dining table as a desk, what a great piece.
I have enjoyed veiwing your photos! Look forward to seeing more of your fabulous gift of creating! Thanks for sharing..
Amy! I love your home!! You are a seriously talented lady! I love how you use so much colour but balance it perfectly with natural and rustic tones as well as white. Such a warm and welcoming mix! Awesome job on your home:)

Visiting from Hooked on Houses. Love your commitment to texture–so great! I have a slightly more masculine style, too, and I love how you have worked it all in.
It took me a while before I realised your colours were red and green–that’s a good thing! I love the combination but I’m scared of it, myself. Always afraid it will look too Christmasy. Not yours though! You do it well.
I’m so glad I found your blog! I love your style, I am about to redecorate and you have given me so many ideas. I especially love the green and white pattern behind your bookshelves. Is that fabric or wallpaper?

I just found your blog! I am in love with your style! I especially love your big wooden table.
I’m new to your blog, and fell hooked when I saw photos of your warm and comfortable home.
Beautiful!
Hi there! Fellow Fort Worth girl here…I am looking for a cream colored couch exactly like the one in your living room…would you mind pointing me in the right direction?
Thanks so much!
Love your front porch. I have same yellow ikat fabric as toss pillows in my family room. Found em at TJMaxx… but I want more! Can sew if I find the fabric. Do you know the name? Also like the tan geo print you paired with them. Name of pattern? Thanks!
Hi Vicky! I actually found the pillows at Garden Ridge. I’m not sure on the pattern name. The tan is a geometric trellis of some sort. I’m sure you can find something similar in a Waverly print maybe at Joann’s or something!
I enjoy your home. The natural wood furniture and baskets makes it feel so inviting.
I was just doing a little blog hopping and ended up here…so glad I did! What a lovely home you have created! Your photos have totally inspired me! =)
Your home is lovely and I love all the color and the details. I am your newest follower on bloglovin.
Thanks, Patty
What a gorgeous home, it looks relaxed but interesting. I love the mix of textures and patterns. I lived in Borneo for 8 years, this is where the Ikat design originates, it is in all their old textiles. I love how this traditional pattern has been given a modern twist.
I will now go and take a look at your previous house. I love your website by the way and photos. I am going to hopefully get a new camera for Christmas so I can take shots for my blog do you mind if I ask what camera are you using to get the last 5 or 6 shots in the post?
Lee
So beautiful! Your home is an inspiration to me!

Pat
Aw thanks so much Pat!!
I am still drooling over your images, would it be at all possible to tell me what settings you used for the last couple of images. I am still having trouble with my DSLR not knowing anything and having to still use the auto setting which is not giving me the images I quite want. The light is so good in yours, I guess I need to know the lens too. I have a 35mm and I have the bigger kit lens that came with the Nikon. My problem is getting the right light.
Lee
Hi Lee! I use a Canon Mark 5D with a 50 mm lens. A 35 mm lens won’t give you the same depth of field as the 50mm, but you should still be able to capture some good lighting. I usually shoot with the lights off and windows open. I also shoot overexposed so the photo is nice and bright! I believe my ISO is on auto or maybe 100? Hope this helps!!
xo, amy
I really like your sense of style and the way you put everything together. I really like your neutral wall color … What color did you use? Thank you helen
Thank you Helen! We are actually renting, so I’m not sure what the wall color is. I’m sorry! I’ll have to do some research to see if I can find a similar color;)
Beautiful home! Your fronch porch is just lovely, and I love how you styled your living room!
Hi Amy-
Just read your story – very inspiring – being so young and knowing when life gives you lemons you make lemonade.
You so touched me when you were speaking of your aunt & uncle. My family is like that.
I have 7 sisters, and all the kids love each and everyone of us.
I pray you have peace in 2014.
I love your 900 sq foot home. Its beautiful.
Always keep that positive attitude and you will go so far in this big old world.
God Bless you
Rose

You have a lovely home. I really love your decorating style. I see you’re renting and don’t know the paint color, could you tell me if it is a tan or a grey shade? It seems to shift in your photos. Thanks!

Hi Amy! Your new living room is my inspiration! We are getting ready to move and I am trying to buy things to decorate our home and I keep looking back at your pictures for “help” lol. I am curious where you got you white tables at that you have your mirrors on.? Or if you know where I could find some similar. I’ve checked online at different places such as overstocked.com and whatnot but can’t seem to find anything similar. Thanks and it truly is a beautiful home!! 🙂
I love your desk in your office. Those chunky legs are awesome! Do you minding sharing where you gut it from?
I actually found it at a local furniture and home decor shop near my house!
