Do you ever have one spot in your home that just keeps changing? It keeps changing because you can’t seem to find that perfect piece of furniture that’s meant for the space. You keep switching out pieces hoping for it to be the right match, but it just never quite feels… “right”.
Well today I am about to show you what I mean. It was only a few short weeks ago that I posted about my $50 thrift store chair makeover. Although I just recently posted about it, the chair had actually been sitting in it’s home for about 5 months.
Prior to that chair, my red wicker chair sat in its place. I loved each chair in it’s own way, but neither of them really seemed to be the right fit for the space.
Over the past year I have saved up a number of gift cards to Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I finally decided to pull the trigger and purchase something that I had been wanting for a LONG time; a big tufted upholstered linen chair. At only $249, I couldn’t pass it up. It was SO beautiful and SO cheap!
Literally minutes after we spotted it, Graham and I loaded it up in the truck and headed home!
If you haven’t noticed already, there is one fault to the chair. It’s the odd finish of the legs. I will of course be staining those, so more to come on that next week!
Once we placed the chair in it’s new home, Bailey immediately fell in love too. I’m telling you, she’s got great taste;)
Oh, and please excuse the iPhone pics, apparently I’ve been rather lazy with my nice camera! Don’t worry though, there will be tons of beautiful pics to come! The next step is to stain the legs and figure out which pillows will work best with the style/shape of the chair. I should be posting about that next week, so stay tuned!
