A few weeks ago I gave you a sneak peek of our master bedroom when I made my DIY Pillow Covers, found here. Today I’m excited to share with you the reveal!

There are a few DIY projects scattered throughout the room. You might recognize my re-painted bedside drawers, found here, and my diy pillow covers, here. My husband and I also made our headboard a few years ago (before I started blogging) and I recently made a new slipcover for it a few weeks ago. The blue drawers were also a makeover from back in the days before the blog. I SO wish I had a “before” photo! That thing looked pretty bad before I gave it a makeover.

It seems like the master bedroom is always the room that gets pushed off to the side. That might be why it took me so long to get it together! After many months of thought, I decided the “look” I was going for was calm and neutral with a small pop of color. What do you think?

I hope you enjoyed today’s reveal! It’s taken me a while to figure out the direction of this room, but I’m really happy with how everything turned out. So calm and soothing at the end of a long day!

  1. Love the master bedroom. It’s a very calming space that looks like a great place to relax! Makes me want to spruce up our Master Bedroom!

It really did turn out gorgeous. Inviting, comfy and beautiful! And another cute little photobomber.

  3. Love the room!! Amazing as always! Any chance you remember where your bed skirt is from? It looks a bit longer and totally what I need.

  4. Absolutely stunning and your photos are too. I came across from Savvy Southern style as I just revealed my guest bedroom makeover, I hope you get a chance to take a look. Its not as pretty as yours as a different look, I was going for a Ralph Lauren feel.

I don’t usually leave links but as I have just posted a new post its not front page so here is the link if you get a chance.

I have been truly inspired by your room and it is giving me ideas for colour for my master bedroom which I hope to tackle in the next few months. I especially love the pillows, I also used a mix of patterns as my room is very neutral.

    Love it!

  5. I really like the pictures above the bed. May I ask from where you purchased them?

Oh gosh I’ve had those forever! I think I found the art online somewhere and framed them with some frames I already had. I don’t remember where I found them though, sorry Mandy!!

  6. So pretty Amy! I love the blue waverly pillows you made and the blue nightstand with the crystal knobs!! We have an upholstered headboard too and I had thought about redoing it in a neutral – yours looks gorgeous!!

  7. Very pretty. It looks so calm and peaceful. I love the wall color, I’ve been looking for a gray paint color. You did an awesome job!

  8. Love how calm and relaxing your bedroom is; I’ve been actually leaning more towards light colors for our master bedroom, too. And, I especially love those pillows!!!
