It’s finally Summer and the Texas heat is in FULL swing! When the temperature starts to reach those triple digits, there just isn’t anything like a cold glass of iced tea (besides a cold beer of course). My memories of drinking tea dates all the way back to my childhood, mainly anytime we were at my grandmas house. There was no doubt that when you walked in her door, you would first smell her fried chicken and then her Lipton tea brewing on the stovetop. Well, times have changed and technology has made things even easier for us. Fifteen years later I still love the smell of freshly brewed tea and love even more that it’s so quick and easy to make.
About a year ago my husband and I decided to invest in a Keurig, and I’m SO glad we did. Neither one of us drink coffee (or tea) by the pot, so the k-cup Keurig was just perfect for the two of us. Over the past year I’ve used the Keurig for coffee, chai tea, and iced tea as well. I love how I can just brew one glass of tea without having to waste an entire pot. And that whole boiling water thing?? It’s a thing of the past thanks to the Lipton K-cups!
My favorite kind of iced tea is sweet tea; it’s no secret that I have a bit of a sweet tooth! But I also love their classic tea and lemonade tea as well. All of these options come in their k-cup as well – lucky us! You are able to purchase Lipton k-cups in stores and online at nationwide retailers where available.
Brewing the tea is just like making a cup of coffee with a k-cup. Literally all you do is pour your water in the top of the Keurig, pop in your k-cup and press the “brew” button! Pour it over some ice, and you’re all done. You can view my mini Insta-video here to see it in action.
