I’ve recently been looking to add some living plants into our home. When I discovered these air plants, I knew I had to have them! They are super low maintenance and easy to take care of. I am still learning all of the do’s and don’ts about their care, so I will keep you posted as I learn!

AirPlants

I ordered my air plants from Amazon. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on my first set of air plants (since I don’t know how to take care of them yet and don’t want to kill them), so I started small. I found a 5 pack for just $7.50! We have Amazon prime, so I got free shipping on top of the low cost. They are tiny little things; about the size of a golf ball, but I’m sure they will eventually grow a bit larger.

They came packaged really well in their box. The company also included a little business card with a brief description of how to care for the plant.

I researched a little further on Amazon and it looks like that same company also carries some cute terrariums as well. They seem to be pretty affordable too! There is a $4.50 option found here, a $6 option found here, and an $8 option found here. They also carry these really adorable urchins that would work perfectly with my mini air plants.

So what do you think?? Aren’t they so adorable? I cannot wait to learn more and tell you guys all about them!

  1. so i just wanted to give you a heads up about them-mine have thin brown roots, as one would imagine, but i thought since they’re not actually rooting to anything, i could pinch the ends of the roots back a bit (which were unsightly and curling up inside the vessel) and make it prettier. note to self-NOT A GOOD IDEA!! after i did that to one of them, it ended up dying quickly. so i’m not talking about the roots near the plant, i’m talking about the part that would, if it was in actual dirt, be down in the dirt. ok, good luck! and great to know about amazon having them!!

Oh good to know!!! I haven’t done anything with them yet because I’m too scared to mess them up haha. I will be doing some more research though so hopefully I will find out more soon!
