A few weeks ago I shared my bedside drawers makeover with the readers of Twelve O Eight, but realized I never shared it with you all! I had already painted the outside of the dresser back in January, but never painted the sides of the drawers. With my recent love for gold accents, I knew just what I needed to do. The gold accent was the perfect subtle touch this piece had been lacking.

I made a quick trip to my local craft store and bought some antique gold metallic spray paint. I then taped off the areas I did not want painted, and began spraying. The process took no time at all! The spray paint dried super quick and I was able to place the drawers back in place about 15 minutes after they were sprayed. I guess metallic colors dry much faster than normal spray paint?? Either way, I was so happy with the end result! I can now say this makeover is finally complete:)

I love the way the gold picks up the brassy tones in the knobs. I didn’t notice it as much before, but now I think it really pops!
