Today I wanted to share with you guys my official design board for my formal living room. has played a HUGE part in my makeover and I couldn’t be more obsessed with their products. Affordability and style are my 2 key factors when designing a room, and they have BOTH.

I’m starting to see some progress in this room, but I’m still not 100% finished. Here is what I started with:

And below are some details of what I have so far. I’ve also instagramed a few sneak peeks here, here, here and here that might give you a better idea of the space.

I’m seriously obsessed with my dual chesterfield sofas – they are my absolute favorite pieces of furniture I’ve ever owned! We don’t have a TV or anything in this space, so it’s so nice to use that room to simply relax and turn on some music. We have a massive window that lets in so much natural light and I’ll just sit on my sofa, look outside, and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine, depending on the time of day of course!

Ideally I would love to get rid of that carpet, but for now it will stay. The room is all neutral, so the white carpet isn’t too terrible. Not my first choice, but what can ya do? I hope to photograph the rest of my progress this weekend, so hopefully I can share phase two of this room with you guys next week.

Disclosure: I was not financially compensated for this post. I received samples for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

  1. I love how the two formal spaces are coming together. Where did you find the awesome geometric wooden vase?

  2. LOVE that sofa. We’ve been trying to decide what to do in our formal living room (it’s 100% empty right now) and I really think I might just buy that sofa as a starting point. It’s perfect!

I love how neutral the room is…if only I could convince my fiance to go completely neutral. For some reason he loves color!

  3. Hi my friend! I want to say that this post is awesome, nice written and include almost all significant infos.
I’d like to see more posts like this .

  4. Hi! The living room is gorgeous. I’m thinking about buying the chesterfield from way fair. Please let me know how it is holding up? Would you still recommend it?
