After a rainy weekend here in Texas, I am happy to say fall has officially arrived. Temperatures dropped into the 60s and I couldn’t be more excited.
Over the next month or so I plan to spend as much time outside as I possibly can. In Texas, our summers are so hot that fall is typically our patio season. That’s why when I teamed up with Porch.com and Hayneedle, I thought an outdoor DIY s’mores station would be the perfect project for this time of year. With so much family time ahead, this s’mores station is both easy to throw together and fun for all ages!
I wanted to use a non-traditional color scheme, while at the same time not stepping too far outside of the box. I kept the traditional burnt orange, but added magenta as well as some black and white accents.
The fire columns, decorative lantern, tiered server and magenta throw are all from Hayneedle. My display table is from HomeGoods and most of the other accessories I snagged from the $1 section at Target.
I also threw together some marshmallow pops as well. These were so easy to make – all I did was ice a few large marshmallows with chocolate icing and dip them in sprinkles. These are so tasty and took just a few minutes to make. If your guests aren’t a huge fan of s’mores, don’t you worry. These marshmallow pops will be the perfect replacement!
So what do you think? Easy enough, right? I also love that once all the family has left, you can still use the fire columns for decoration throughout the year. They are so versatile and completely worth every penny!
I also wanted to mention a little more about one of my favorite partners, Porch.com. They recently launched their new “Porch promise”.
