Eat In Kitchen Progress

Woah! I’ve been totally MIA over the past week, huh? Things have been hectic over here to say the least, but the good news is I’m back with another progress report on the house! I’ve been working slowly but surely on the house and finally have an update on my kitchen.

Our kitchen has a little eat-in area with a cozy fireplace. I love this room because it has a ton of natural light and it just feels so homey. I recently replaced one of our light fixtures with a burlap pendant from Birch Lane. If you haven’t heard of Birch Lane, you really need to check them out! They are a sister brand of Wayfair and carry both fresh and traditional pieces at an attainable price point. I seriously cannot tell you how happy I am with my new fixture. It really sets the mood for the entire space! Also, make sure to check out my DIY no-sew cord cover I made. It was free and super easy to make!

As usual, most of my pieces of furniture and accessories are either from HomeGoods, Marshall’s, TJ Maxx or Target. My most favorite piece in the entire room is that lovely console table you see above. It. Is. Stunning. It’s safe to say it’s actually my favorite piece of furniture I’ve ever owned. And of course, it’s from HomeGoods. Where else, right??

I still have a long way to go, but I’m getting closer! There is still more to come on the progress, but I wanted to give you an update so far. I hope you enjoyed:)

  1. The room is adorable, and I love that fireplace! Perfect for cozy winter mornings, or evenings for that matter! You’re putting this home together so beautifully! :-)

  2. Amy, This room is beautiful as is any thing you do! Love the soft color with stronger accents. Very easy on the eyes. Haven’t had time to check your blog in several weeks. Oops! Every photo here ought to be in an appropriate (hard copy) magazine publication and not only online.
