I guess things have been pretty busy around here because today I am posting about a makeover that is almost a year old!! Errr I know! It’s terrible. But hey, better late than never, right??

So last Christmas… Yupp, I said this makeover was old, right? Anyways, so last Christmas I found these amazing lamps at Marshalls. There were TWO matching lamps, so of course I had to get both. Maybe it’s just me, but if there are two matching lamps I just feel compelled to get both. Even if I don’t need two. I can’t leave one behind! It would miss it’s friend! I have a problem, I know.

I wasn’t sure where I was going to use them, but they had a great shape and they matched my style perfectly. AKA – I could use them just about anywhere. I had been looking for coral lamps for a long time, but the only ones that looked high quality ranged from $80-$120 EACH. So yeah, wasn’t going to happen. Thankfully I got lucky have a Marshalls addiction and found mine for $30 each!

You might notice the very odd finish that they had; it almost looked dirty in a way. But that didn’t matter to me – I knew from the second I saw them that I would spray them a bright white. As soon as I brought them home, I taped off the cords and hardware and began the makeover. I used a matte white spray paint and sprayed about 2-3 coats of paint on each lamp.

Above is the picture I took at Marshalls when I bought them last year, and below are the updated photos from my recent bedroom makeover. What do you think of the new color? Which do you prefer?

haha I’ll have to watch her to make sure she doesn’t break them! She’s already done that with another pair of my favorite lamps! And yes, the lone surviver is quite lonely!!

  1. They look amazing! Definitely a much higher-end look now that they are white. You would NEVER guess they were only $30 each!

  2. I would not have bought them ~ and they look awesome now with your touch! 🙂 I love the white soooo much more than the original. Great job!
