For some reason, Christmas feels extra special to me this year. Maybe it’s because our 18-month-old will semi-appreciate it, or maybe it’s because our new baby girl (miss Harper) is now here with us, or maybe it’s that fact that our remodel is finally (like 90%) done! Or maybe, just maybe, it’s all of that combined. To say I’m thankful doesn’t even begin to explain how I feel.
As you can tell, I’m super excited to finally get to share with you guys my Christmas home tour, and it’s all here thanks to Shaw Floors. Because, if it wasn’t for them, we literally wouldn’t have a floor. Yeah. Like, for real.
It’s been nearly a year since we’ve had them installed and couldn’t be happier with our decision. We installed World Traveler (style of wood) in Trail (color of wood) from Shaw Floors. It’s a 4″ solid hickory, which is one of the hardest wood species. They make our home feel so welcoming, especially this time of year!
For our front living room, we opted for two pencil trees tucked away in some wicker baskets that we bought from Target. We got the trees 70% off at Michael’s ($50 each) and I already had the baskets from Target.
I also purchased these ornaments from Target. I got about a dozen of the fabric aztec-printed ones and a few large boxes of the rest (shatterproof, of course).
That adorable reindeer pillow is also from Target. And those fur-lined stockings are DIYed by yours truly.
The buffalo plaid baskets were $3 at the $1 spot at Target, so of course I bought all they had! Those trees were also just $3 a piece, so again, I bought as many as I could find.
Gah! Excuse me while I sit here and drool over my floors.
And if you missed my post the other day on my gingerbread house village, you can see a few sneak peeks below or click through to read the full post here.
And that’s all folks! I’m so happy you decided to stop by to check out my first Christmas in our new-to-us home. I wish you all the very best for this joyful holiday season!
