So the new year is about a month in and I’m sure we’ve all set new year resolutions. Well, I haven’t exactly set a resolution, but there have been a few things I’ve been looking to improve upon. My first goal is start saving money, stop shopping as much, eat out less etc. Another goal of mine is to stop making excuses! Sometimes I tell myself I can’t make a certain project because it’s too hard, or might take too long, or might not work out. Well, I’m sick of making excuses. I’ve decided to just GO FOR IT and stop doubting myself. If the project doesn’t work out, meh, ya live ya learn, right?

A few weeks ago I got an email from Carrie from the blog, Lovely Etc. She was looking to BE BOLD and wanted to gather a group of bloggers to join her in her bold journey. There are 11 bloggers total in this challenge and I’m so happy to be amongst them! Along with our little group, we are also wanting to see YOUR bold projects as well, so make sure to come back on February 24th for our Be Bold Link Up. Remember, there will be 11 bloggers, so this will be an EPIC party.

Here are the lovely blogs involved in the challenge:

52 Mantels
Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body
House by Hoff
Just a Girl and Her Blog
Lovely Etc.
May Richer Fuller Be
Naptime DIY
Primitive and Proper
The Blissful Bee
The Happy Housie
The Wood Grain Cottage

The Be Bold Challenge began because Carrie (the blogger behind Lovely Etc.) was sick and tired of not trying new projects just because she was scared of failure. And I have to say, I totally agree! There have been so many times where I have feared beginning a project simply because I didn’t think it would work out. I finally got tired of playing it safe. Here are a few words of inspiration…

Here are the rules of our Be Bold Challenge:

The challenge is to do a DIY project that is a bit of a risk. Perhaps using a new power tool, trying a color you usually avoid, doing something you’ve never seen anyone else do, or just trying something you’re not entirely sure will work.

We are each working on bold projects in our own homes, but remember, we will be hosting a link up for YOU to share YOUR bold projects on February 24th. Projects linked up will be linked on all eleven blogs. I hope you follow along in our creative BOLD journey!!

  1. Looking forward to the party! I just painted my master bedroom a bold blue color. It was a little scary at first but in the end I’m so glad I chose that color. My hubby and I absolutely love it!

  2. Thanks! I am SO looking forward to this party! I feel the same way so many times but I am just finishing up a risky project and I can’t wait to share it!!
