Back Porch Makeover

If you follow me on instagram, you might have noticed a rather large project I’ve been posting about here, here and here. Yupp, that’s right – my back porch makeover is finally finished!

Unfortunately my house is now on the market (read this post here to catch up on the latest) and I might not get to enjoy my latest makeover this fall like I originally planned, but that’s ok! Hopefully another happy homeowner will get to enjoy all of my hard work. Until then, I’m going to show you guys the amazing before and afters of this massive makeover.

Originally the brick was more of a redish orange and the ceiling was a basic beige. I wanted this space to feel light and bright, so I sprayed the brick white (thanks to this lovely gadget) and painted the ceiling a calming blue (Benjamin Moore’s Wythe Blue).

I also teamed up with Wayfair.com and Birch Lane for this makeover to show just how easy it is to makeover an entire outdoor living space for right around $1000. Here is my product board for the makeover:

  1. Amy,
I love the entire back porch makeover. You did an amazing job of curating eclectic pieces that have come together beautifully. I especially love the detail of painting the ceiling a pale blue! Fabulous.
