Over the past few months I’ve teamed up with a wonderful company (our city’s top magazine), Fort Worth Texas Magazine. I will start blogging for them and also be producing home design and DIY videos as well! I will also be posting those videos right here on The Blissful Bee, so make sure to watch out for them soon! I’ve been wanting to dish the news for quite some time now, but haven’t been able to talk about the partnership “officially” until now. Ok, and now for the kicker… Drum roll please… Over those same months, I also began interviewing for a position at the magazine I like to call a “dream job”. I interviewed for about 3 months for this job not knowing if it was what God wanted for me. There were many nights I spent praying for an answer. Whether or not I got the job, that wasn’t in…

If you’re familiar with this little blog of mine, you’ve probably already figured out how much I love re-designing spaces. Whether I’m actually re-designing a space of my own, or dreaming up a mood board of sorts, I’ve constantly got new ideas rolling around in my head at all times. Typically when I begin designing a space, I find a source of inspiration to start from. Today I’m teaming up with Wayfair.com to dream up a fun space using a rug for my source of inspiration. Lately I’ve been drooling over this indoor/outdoor Dash & Albert Diamond rug. It’s SO stunning (and if you ask me) it’s the perfect source to gain inspiration from. Today I’ve created a little “Rug to Room” Guide for any of you looking to build a room off of this amazing rug. And for a little bonus, Wayfair.com has offered you guys a 15% off coupon code…

Alrighty now let’s see what my lovely co-hosts have been up to this week!

Lately I’ve been photographing the occasional food and drink posts for the blog. I’ve noticed I’m not 100% crazy about the way my granite countertops have been photographing. Don’t get me wrong, I love my kitchen countertops, but I just don’t love how they look in photos because they’re a bit busy. I’ve been looking for a marble slab option instead (maybe purchasing a small sample or something?), but everything was just too expensive. That’s when I came up with my DIY faux marble backdrop idea. For only $5 for the entire project, I was pretty happy with my outcome! I was recently walking through Home Depot browsing around for no reason when I stumbled upon the vinyl tile isle. I know what you’re probably thinking. Ew! Why?? Well I don’t know! I just ended up there! Anyways, I looked up and saw a faux marble vinyl tile for $.99 per…

Today I’m so excited to team up with one of my wonderful sponsors, Hollis Design Co., for a fun little giveaway! She has SUCH a cute shop and she was sweet enough to send me some of her designs. Amanda is a super talented graphic designer and her online store carries all sorts of items from trendy stationery to coasters to art prints. 1. Confetti Coasters   2. “If it Was Easy” Print   3. “Love What You Do” Print   4. Sticky Notes Some of my favorites were the coasters, art prints and sticky notes. I also love all of her stationery designs as well. They are so bright and cheery! I loved my new art print so much that I replaced some of my own designs with her new ones! My gallery wall was given a little facelift over the weekend and I love the new print! I chose the “Love What You Do” print to…

Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with some amazing DFW bloggers. I was SO excited because for some reason I’ve never attended any blogging event! Del Frisco’s Grille (in downtown Fort Worth) was kind enough to put on the event for us and I’m SO glad they did. We all sipped on mimosas, got to know each other and bonded over our crazy blogging lives. I ordered the Banana & Mascarpone-Stuffed French Toast. IT. WAS. AMAZING. I literally haven’t been able to stop talking about it ALL week! I think I described it as literally the best thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. And no, I’m not exagerating even the slightest. And of course we had to get a shot of everyone on their phones!! We were tweeting and instagraming like crazy! I mean the food was too good not to share – we couldn’t help…

Today I’m going to start a fun series called “Color Stories.” I’ve always had a fascination with color and seem to have a knack for pairing interesting hues together. I find so many sources of inspiration every day and figured why not share them with you guys?? Every week I will post a new color story in hopes of inspiring you all with new color pallets and ideas for your own spaces. Today I’ve chosen one of my very favorite colors to start off with – yellow! Yellow is such a happy color and brightens up just about every space. I paired this cheery color with a greyish blue to contrast with the bright and bold yellow. Inspiration Photograph via The Etsy Shop, Long Forgotten
