Ugh. Why does Target always have to torture me? I get the emails. I see the ads on facebook. I follow them on Instagram. Whyyyyy do I do this to myself?
If you’ve read my blog over the years, you know how much I’m obsessed with front porches. It was literally my MAIN requirement when Chad and I were house hunting last year. Well, dreams do come true because I finally have my very own front porch. And I have to say, it’s everything I imagined…
Lately I’ve been all about the live-edge trend. It’s been seen for the past few years and just isn’t going away any time soon. In fact, I think it’s getting even more popular as the years go by.
Just when we thought we were so close to being done, there still seems to be a billion things on our to-do list. Sure, we’ve got the big things out of the way like the demo, cabinetry, hardwoods, and paint, but it’s all those little things that seem to add up.
Since moving into our reno, we’ve lived without countertops. We’re going on about three months now and it’s been interesting to say the least. The cabinets got installed a few weeks ago (err months ago?), the flooring is also installed and we’re nearing the finish line. The next step in this process is to paint the cabinets. And if you’re not already following along in my reno, you can do so here or on my instagram here.
Wow – after months of stud walls and sawdust, I never could have imagined we would actually get to this point. Installing our cabinets. Who knew it would be such an exciting time?
